R&D Chefs needed!
Currently looking for 2 separate R&D chefs for similar roles with two completely different companies. Both get this chef out of operations but involved with “the big picture” at all of the restaurants in the group. Both of these opportunities offer a work/life balance as you will NOT be in operations.
Los Angeles: Growing restaurant group needs a Training and R&D Chef to assist Corporate Chef with multiple aspects of kitchen operations in all of their locations. You must have a strong past in training crews, very technically sound (computer skills, costing, hyper-organized, high service standards) and be a team player. You will also be able to contribute creatively to the menus of all restaurants and a budding catering operation. Offering up to $75K base and strong benefits, this is a great gig to get out of operations yet still work with amazing food, people and have growth while maintaining a work/life balance
Colorado: Top chef in Denver is growing fast and needs a chef to come in at the corporate level to assist the CDCs at all of his restaurants. Looking to lighten the administrative role for all of his chefs, this position will take on oversite of BOH labor and food costs, onboarding new hires and their training schedules, competitive buying from linen to small wares to product. You will oversee costing of recipes, the R&M of the kitchens, perform mock health inspections and help organize the new delivery aspect of the company. You will also be leaned on for helping with menu items/changes, document recipes and help in future projects including moving some production into a new commissary. Offering around $70K base, quality of life, flexible schedule and a great future.
